Auto Parts & Vehicles Expo Philippines

Following record-breaking vehicle sales in the Philippines in 2023, the automotive parts and car care products sectors are poised for significant growth. The Auto Parts & Vehicles Expo Philippines (APVE) offers a timely platform for local and international suppliers to gather for trade, networking, and innovation exchange in automotive parts, accessories, maintenance equipment, and tools.

The inaugural three-day event, running from June 5 to 7, 2024, is expected to attract up to 4,000 buyers and sellers from the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Hundreds of exhibitors from the region and beyond will showcase the latest products and solutions in the evolving auto parts sector.

“The first-ever APVE Philippines is designed to be a transformative platform, bringing together industry leaders, buyers, sellers, and government representatives to explore emerging growth opportunities in the auto parts sector,” said Rungphech ‘Rose’ Chitanuwat, General Manager for the Philippines at Informa Markets, the event organizer.

“APVE is also relevant to industries like mining, construction, logistics, transportation, and agriculture. The auto parts sector in the Philippines is promising, bolstered by strong vehicle sales growth,” she added.

Record-Breaking Car Sales
In 2023, automotive sales in the Philippines surged by 21.9%, reaching a record high of 429,807 units, surpassing the industry’s target of 423,000 and exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Passenger vehicles made up 25.4% of sales, while commercial vehicles accounted for 74.6%.

The local automotive parts sector includes over 250 businesses producing and importing up to 330 types of parts and components made from metals, rubber, plastic, and other materials. These companies supply both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the independent aftermarket (IAM).

APVE also features suppliers and parts for the growing electric vehicle (EV) sector in the Philippines. Thanks to Republic Act 11697, the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), EV sales are increasing, driven by faster adoption, public sector support, and cost reductions.
Relevant Conferences and Seminars

With improving economic conditions, rising consumer confidence, and the introduction of high-tech and innovative aftermarket parts, the industry faces various associated issues. APVE Philippines will host significant conferences and seminars for key stakeholders.

  • Day 1: The Philippine Board of Investments will hold a seminar on potential tax incentives for investors. The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) will discuss the state of the Philippine EV industry.
  • Day 2: The focus will be on strategic alliances in the industry. Highlights include the Bumper to Bumper Car Show (featuring overlanding and off-road car expos and certification training) and the National Transport Congress, hosted by the National Federation of Transport Cooperatives.
  • Day 3: Seminars for haulers and truckers, discussions on automotive trends, and the conclusion of the Bumper to Bumper Car Show will dominate the final day.
