The partnership, which is in line with Hanabishi’s efforts to give back to the Filipino community, entitles TESDA students to a one-year dual-training program. This program covers a three- month training with TESDA and the opportunity to complete the remaining months with partner organization Hanabishi.
“It is a privilege to be able to partner with organizations such as Hanabishi that share our level of commitment and the value we have for education,” TESDA Provincial Director of Bulacan Grace Castillo expressed.
“Through this partnership, we want to produce well-rounded individuals who are highly trained in the classroom and on the job. Students who will join this program are truly blessed as they will be able to practice knowledge from school in real life with the help of a renowned brand such as Hanabishi. Even better, they have the opportunity of getting hired,” Castillo added.
Hanabishi has always given emphasis to corporate social responsibility programs. The company has joined a series of activities organized through its partnership with the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF). These initiatives aim to extend support to impoverished and calamity- stricken communities in different parts of the country.
But while the partnership with GMAKF focuses on reinforcing Hanabishi’s commitment to restore and maintain comfort in Filipino homes through the donation of appliances, its recent partnership with TESDA will allow the company to play a more active role in the community by creating job opportunities and giving students better access to such. It is inspired by the famous proverb, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to TESDA for opening their doors to us. Through this partnership, we will be able to equip more Filipinos not only with the technical know-how and skills they need to find work but also with the values and guiding principles of the company that led us to where we are now. We are really hopeful all our trainees will be transitioned into their official jobs by the end of the program,” Hanabishi President Jasper Ong shared.
